Bobby Brown Wins Dew Tour Slopestyle At Mt. Snow
At the final stop of the Winter Dew Tour, Bobby Brown continued his win streak (from X Games) and took gold on the course at Mt. Snow. And with this win, he has jumped into the 1st place ranking on the AFP list, with Andreas Håtveit hot on his heels in 2nd and Tom Wallisch in a close 3rd place ranking.
Sammy Carlson, who took 3rd at X Games and 3rd in Mt. Snow sits in 4th place and our AFP pipe leader Jossi Wells becoming a true double-threat, sits comfortably in 5th place. Rookie on the tour Elias Ambuhl has been making moves, and he sits in 6th place. Non-double flip / Quebecois amigos Phil Casabon, Alexis Godbout and Charles Gagnier have been making waves this year, and currently sit 7th, 10th and 15th respectively. Last year’s Mt. Snow Slope winner, JF Houle, narrowly missed the podium here, taking the 4th spot and resides in 8th overall on the AFP list.
Young guns Alex Schlopy and McRae Williams both put up impressive results in Mt. Snow and sit 12th and 18th, respectively. Joe Schuster, who won a wild card into the last stop of Dew, took the field by storm and now sits in 31st overall, as Dew is his only result. TJ Schiller and Ian Cosco both failed to make finals and sit 16th and 14th respectively. Jacob Wester and Henrik Harlaut, both Swedes, sat this event out yet still sit 11th and 13th respectively on the list.
As we roll into the Aspen/Snowmass Open this week, a lot of the big names will be absent, but look for guys like McRae Williams, Sean Jordan (22nd), Anders Backe (23rd), and Kim Boberg (33rd) to jump up more than a few places.
